The Nissan Sentra Cup will take place in three Canadian provinces this year, as it celebrates its 10th anniversary and 11th season on Canadian tracks.
In an update, Nissan Canada said the 2025 season will include twelve races with two major changes: the races will now be spread across five events instead of six, and two of them will feature three races in the same weekend. The other three events will include two races each. And a new province will be included in the schedule.
The season will kick off at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) in Bowmanville, northeast of Toronto, Ontario, which features a 3.9 kilometre circuit that has previously hosted the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix eight times. From May 16 to 18 the CTMP will host the Nissan Sentra Cup over the Victoria Day long weekend.
It will then head over to Nova Scotia, where the event will take place from June 20 to 22 near the town of Shubénacadie, north of Halifax at Atlantic Motorsport Park (AMP). The track celebrated its 50th anniversary last fall. Then Quebec will host the third edition of the Nissan Grand Prix at the Complexe ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec, two weeks later. The event attracted over 3,000 spectators last year, and will take place on July 6 this year.
“After racing in the United States in 2024, I am very proud to mark the Nissan Sentra Cup’s debut in a third Canadian province this year, with this exciting event in Nova Scotia,” said Trevor Longley, President of Nissan Canada, in a statement. “I believe the 2025 calendar will please everyone, especially racing fans in Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes.”
