More than meets the eye

Being a CADA member unlocks additional benefits for your team

When CADA member dealers participate in CADA 360 programs, they also benefit from the sheer size and scale of the total number of dealers that fall under the CADA 360 umbrella.

That “clout” gives CADA and their program partners the ability to negotiate a wide range of services and free benefits for their members.

Whether that’s free employee background checks if you are a member of CADA 360 Garage Insurance or CADA 360 Drive HR, or access to a wide range of EAP, mental health, and wellness programs if you’re a member of CADA 360 Employee Benefits.

Services that are free for all members include access to CADA 360 Home and Auto insurance rates for dealer employees, a 50 per cent discount on eyewear lens upgrades through a program with SpecSavers, and a 50 per cent discount on a weight loss program through Lumen.

“When I talk with our dealers, I find many aren’t fully aware of all the related benefits they are entitled to when they join our CADA 360 programs,” said Michael Psotka, CADA’s CFO and Director of Member Services. “We are trying hard to communicate with them so they can maximize the value they are getting from our programs. CADA does the product evaluation, finds the deals, and brings them to our members. And we are always available to answer any questions.”

On the Employee Benefit programs: “You can talk with CADA or talk to your CADA 360 advisor,” said Cindy Robinson, Director, Governance & Plan Management, CADA Employee Life & Health Trust, CADA 360. “Our advisors have the details of all these additional program benefits and can help walk you through ways to communicate how to access them to your staff.”

“We have specialized monthly health bulletins and things like ‘Webinar Wednesday’ to address key topics impacting the health and well-being of dealership employees,” said Robinson. “We know it’s a lot of work keeping a dealership workforce healthy, happy, and productive, and our team is developing new resources all the time.”

Robinson said these educational efforts go well beyond what many other insurers provide for their clients. “We are being proactive in finding valuable information and customizing it for dealerships,” said Robinson.

In addition to these discounts, the CADA 360 team provides additional educational resources and support to dealership teams in many areas. Product innovation is at the forefront at all times in developing new programs and evolving existing ones. “We always want to hear from our dealer members. Whether the comments are good or bad, it helps us evaluate and evolve our existing programs,” said Psotka.

Many of the programs CADA brings to market have also been developed in lockstep with their dealers, and in particular, with the input from dealer members of their various program committees.

These committees help vet and assess new programs, such as the RecovR dealership lot management and vehicle recovery technology now offered via the new CADA 360 Security Services program.

“We and our dealers devoted significant time and resources to assessing the various products on the market, narrowed it down to a short list, and ultimately selected RecovR as the recommended platform for Canadian car dealers,” said Psotka. “We then also negotiated a best-in-class pricing plan before launching CADA 360 Security Services powered by RecovR.”

“We select the best products, negotiate the best prices, and deliver them to our dealers via our programs. CADA is a not-for-profit organization. Our programs aren’t designed to operate at a profit to CADA, but if they do, funds are used for advocacy and knowledge work. It’s right in our slogan, ‘It all comes back to you.’ This is an example of how the funds dealers invest in our programs are redirected so they can be used to further enhance value for dealers.”

It’s interesting to note that all CADA 360 programs assist dealers in managing risk. “Whether that risk is related to human capital, facilities, or inventory, working with our program partners helps you manage your risk through well-thought-out, value-oriented programs built for dealers by dealers,” said Psotka.
