Capital Auto Group has expanded with the acquisition of Cabot Ford Lincoln in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and will relaunch the dealership as Capital Ford Lincoln on February 3, 2025.
The dealer group said the team at Cabot Ford Lincoln will join its growing family of more than 460 employees. In a statement Capital Auto Group’s President Frank Howard said they look forward to welcoming 80 new team members. He also said the deal underscores their optimism for the future of the automotive industry in Newfoundland and Labrador.
“Ford and Lincoln have been global leaders for over a century and bring both legacy and innovation to our group’s lineup of vehicles,” he continued. “Having proudly served our local community for over 40 years, our team is eager to work alongside Ford Motor Company of Canada to offer a refreshed ownership experience for our new customers.”
Howard added that the milestone is not just about expanding their portfolio, as it also reflects the strength, dedication, and expertise of their team. “It underscores our commitment to delivering excellence while staying true to our community-first approach that has guided us from the beginning,” he said.
St. John’s Cabot Ford Lincoln was founded in 1992 and has been operated by Frank Clarke and his son, Trevor Clarke.
