Canadian dealers set to enjoy epic night in New Orleans

The NADA Show always attracts hundreds of Canadian dealers and suppliers who are eager to attend the largest dealer-focused conference and trade show in North America for the latest learning, and to see the new goods and services at the monster-sized trade show.

But Canadian attendees can get lost in such a massive show. So suppliers got together years ago and created a can’t miss-event where Canadians can connect before the main event. The event was initially conceived of by Alan Bird and his colleagues from SCI Marketview — now taq Automotive Intelligence, and they are still actively involved in helping organize it each year.

The first event featured an intimate night of music featuring Blue Rodeo’s frontman Jim Cuddy. It evolved over the years, featuring acts like the Barenaked Ladies, Tom Cochrane, Alan Doyle from Great Big Sea, and the entire Blue Rodeo band who played in Las Vegas last year.

This year, organizers have opted for a fresh approach, which is to create a memorable party with food and drinks, and great music, in a Canada red and white decked-out Cornet restaurant right on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. Cornet serves authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine, and dishes inspired by the cradle of Jazz.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and dealers can expect a packed event. Visit: www.canadanightnadeh.ca for more details. The event is free for Canadian dealers, and the sponsors who support the event are the only other ones who can attend.

Canadian auto dealer is one of the media sponsors and will be attending to support the event and provide coverage.
