Electrify Canada has expanded its network in Québec and added its first stations in Nova Scotia, for a total of seven new stations, the company recently announced.
Québec gets five new stations, one each located in Mont-Tremblant (open now), Laval (open now), Greenfield Park, Québec City, and St-Hyacinthe. The last three will see the chargers coming soon. Electrify Canada said it plans to add larger stations, and that Greenfield Park and Laval are the network’s first eight charger stations.
“These new stations almost double our presence in Québec and introduce Electrify Canada to Nova Scotia,” said Scott Hollinshead, Program Manager for OEM Business Development at Electrify Canada, in a statement. “With locations now in seven provinces, Electrify Canada is committed to supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles across Canada.”
Nova Scotia gets two new chargers: Amherst (now open) and Bedford (coming soon), helping to enable travel between provinces. Electrify Canada collaborated with Canadian Tire for the expansion, with the charging stations partially funded by Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) ZEVIP funding.
“We are pleased to be working with Electrify Canada to deliver dozens of new hyper-fast charging stations for drivers across Quebec, Nova Scotia, and beyond,” said Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, in a statement.
Overall, the seven new stations will add more than 40 individual next-generation chargers that are capable of speeds up to 350 kW.
