Justin Dempsey, VP of Real Estate, Eastern Canada
Canada’s newest electric vehicle charging network JOLT announced that it will launch next month. In preparation, the company welcomed Justin Dempsey as its new VP of Real Estate for Eastern Canada.
Dempsey will lead the company’s real estate push in Ontario and the East, as JOLT aims to grow its network of up to 5,000 ad-enabled EV charging stations across Canada by 2025. He will be making use of his experience in negotiating real estate agreements with Canadian municipalities and commercial landowners for out-of-home (OOH) advertising infrastructure.
“Dempsey will be responsible for identifying and fast-tracking site partnerships in Eastern Canada for JOLT’s network of EV charging stations, which feature digital advertising panels,” said the company in its update. “(He’s) also taking a lead role in managing the rollout of JOLT’s national network,” which will begin this fall in Ontario.
The company will be scaling quickly through 2025 and 2026 towards 5,000 ad-enabled EV charging stations.
For his part, Dempsey said in a statement that he is excited to join JOLT during this particular growth phase, and to help bring an innovative solution to the Canadian Out-of-Home advertising industry. “With many provinces and municipalities rolling out ambitious green energy programs, JOLT is uniquely positioned to be a key partner in building vital new charging infrastructure to benefit Canadian communities,” he said.
Construction on JOLT’s inaugural charging stations in Ontario began the week of Aug. 23 in Richmond Hill.
