Thanks to a new partnership between the Automotive Business School of Canada and PBS Systems, students will be able to learn on industry-leading software, Georgian College announced in a news release.
PBS Systems is a Canadian supplier of dealer management software that has been around for decades. It supplies software to automotive dealerships across North America and the Caribbean.
“This agreement provides software licenses and expert instruction on a system many students will use when they graduate — they’ll hit the ground running,” said Jason Dale, Executive Director of the ABSC, in a statement. “PBS will also fund scholarships and continue to sponsor the Georgian College Auto Show and other events.”
It is also worth noting that PBS Systems is a dedicated employer of Georgian graduates. Its leaders, according to Georgian College, serve on program advisory committees to ensure curriculum is relevant to current industry needs.
“My collective experience at Georgian College — ABSC was foundational to my career in the automotive industry and dealer management systems,” said Wesley Pike, Georgian alumnus (class of 1992) and PBS Director of OEM Business.
The partnership is based on a five-year exclusive agreement meant to provide students with access to PBS Systems V10: next-gen management software for all aspects of the dealership, from accounting to sales, parts, customer management, and more. Students will learn tools such as vehicle telematics, Bluelink connectivity, transparent eCommerce vehicle purchasing, mobile app workflow integrations, and dashboard analytics.
