Luxury vehicles gain ground in the U.S.

A recent study from TOP data points to an increase in U.S. consumer interest towards luxury vehicles this year.

The company analyzed customer visits to dealerships of 37 car brands in 30 major cities, and found a 5 per cent increase in visits to car dealerships in the United States. Consumers in seven cities in the U.S. rank Tesla as number one: Boston, Indianapolis, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles. And consumers in four cities rank Rolls-Royce as number one: San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, and St. Louis.

“The industry remained within the same trend so far in 2021 as visits to dealerships of luxury car brands featuring the likes of Audi, BMW, Tesla, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce, are seeing an exponential increase in customer visits,” said Top Agency in its report.

Lamborghini is the top brand in New York; BMW in Raleigh; and Audi in Nashville, Pittsburg, and Baltimore.

In other brands, luxury or not, Porsche is the top brand in Minneapolis; Mini is the top brand in Seattle, Sacramento and Tampa; Honda in San Francisco; Land Rover in Portland; Mitsubishi Motors in Salt Lake City, Chicago and Detroit; Fiat in Denver, Lexus in Orlando; Infiniti in Cleveland; and Mazda in Philadelphia.
