Martins Industries adopts robot as “internal tour guide”

Martins Industries, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of tire equipment, added a new member to its teamand “he” is not human.

Marty the Robot joined the team as the company’s official internal tour guide. The program was developed following requests from Martins Industries’ salesforce and customers to see where and how the products are manufactured, while also learning more about the company.

According to Sales Director Yannick Lejour, the robot allows the company to maintain an open communication with its customers.

“Marty the Robot allows us to keep that communication open with our customers, help them learn more about our manufacturing processes and products, meet our staff and first and foremost, stay connected with them during this new ‘normal’ lifestyle,” said Lejour.

Customers can book a tour with the robot on the company website, under the “About” section.

The robot is just one example of how businesses are coming up with interesting and innovative ways to use technology to help enhance their connection with customers and improve profits.
