Registration reminder: online CADA Summit in two weeks

Dealerships that want to take part in the first online CADA Summit should register now to book a spot for themselves. The event will take place on Feb. 3, 2021, and each registration allows for an additional five dealership employees to attend.

The physical event is always sold-out, but for the online event there is more opportunity for people across the auto retail industry to attend and gain the insights and analysis usually reserved for a smaller group.

“From wherever you are in Canada, you can access this up-to-date information that has been specifically created just for Canada’s auto dealers,” said Bonnie Wasser, Industry Relations Manager with the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA). “There’s nowhere else you can go to get this type of content. The speakers have an incredible depth of knowledge, and they are tailoring their messages specifically for our audience. I’m so excited about this year’s event.”

Speakers include a cross section of economists, industry analysts, dealers, lenders, industry association leaders, and a futurist offering a glimpse of what he expects to see unfold in the coming months.

The speakers are: Stephen Poloz, Former Governor, Bank of Canada; David Frum, Social and Political Commentator and Senior Editor, The Atlantic; Futurist Jeremy Gutsche, CEO, Trend Hunter; and Thomas Feltmate, Senior Economist, TD Bank Group.

Others speakers include John Carmichael, Chief Executive Officer & Registrar, Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC); Andrew Ojamae, President & CEO, and Auto IQ; Howard Thompson, VP of Sales and Distribution, TD Auto Finance; and Flavio Volpe, President, Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (APMA), Dennis DesRosiers, President, DesRosiers Automotive Consultants, and Jerry Dias, National President, Unifor, will also be there.

The dealer panel will consist of Stephen Chipman, President & CEO, Birchwood Automotive Group; Kim Day, President & COO, Steele Auto Group; Susan Gubasta, President & CEO, Mississauga Toyota; and Charles Saillant, Vice President of Groupe Saillant.

The online event also includes some other surprise messages, a tribute to this year’s CADA Laureates, and the unveiling of this year’s DSI Awards winners — among other things.

Participants can review the agenda here and register their dealership’s team.

The CADA Summit is sponsored exclusively by TD Auto Finance.
