Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) launched a new app that seeks to improve the parking experience, while saving time with contactless prepayment parking reservations.
Known as Porsche Parking Plus, the app includes a search functionality by vehicle model type that provides users with a quick and easy way to find a parking spot by comparing prices and reviewing parking recommendations via Porsche customer feedback.
“We want to give our customers a unique ownership experience,” said Kjell Gruner, President & CEO of PCNA. “Now, Parking Plus users will have a much smoother parking experience running a quick errand or enjoying a night on the town.”
Users can access the app by creating an account with their name, email, phone number, vehicle type and license plate number. Once they have an account, they can narrow down their parking options by facility type (valet, self-park, covered parking) and facility features (re-entry, attended, accessible parking, electric vehicle charging and on-site security).
“To complete a reservation, users should select the parking facility of choice, reserve parking by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal and save the ticket to their smartphone wallet for future use,” said PCNA in its news release, adding that users can also save the parking reservation to their smartphone calendar.
The app is available on Apple and Android devices, while the platform will be managed by Chicago-based company Arrive.
