Universus Media Group (UMG) has appointed Trevor Davis as its new Business Development Manager for Canadian auto dealer’s print, digital and video properties.
“We are pleased to appoint Trevor to this role,” said Niel Hiscox, President of Universus Media Group. “He has proven that he has good leadership skills, that he is a strong communicator, is organized and analytical, and that he has valuable customer service experience. We believe he will tackle his new role with the same high energy and excitement he brought to his previous position at UMG.”
Davis previously held the position of Bilingual Account Manager for MyAdbox Canada at UMG. In this role, Davis travelled throughout Western Canada, from dealership to dealership, to sell and onboard digital signage programs.
“We supported dealers with digital signage and content to communicate with their customers,” said Davis. “Doing this provided me with the opportunity to connect with many dealers, to better understand the customer journey and the importance of providing exceptional customer experience at the dealership.”
Davis said he learned what was important to dealers in various positions, from service to sales and right up to the General Manager and Dealer Principals. This, he said, helped him develop an understanding of the entire automotive ecosystem.
“I’m excited to enter this new role, where I will continue to serve Canada’s dealers,” said Davis. “I look forward to connecting with our partners, who share the common goal of supporting dealerships and learning more about the best products and services that can help them amid COVID-19 and beyond. And I intend to bring a collaborative approach to all of the partners that I work with, to ensure we all share in the success.”
Davis holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa in Ontario, having graduated with honours in December 2017. He also holds a Masters in Management after completing his degree at the Kedge Business School in Bordeaux, France.
He is fluent in both English and French, and speaks a bit of Italian and Spanish.
