Tesla ranks last in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study

Tesla placed last in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study (IQS), which ranks overall brand quality with a numeric score, according to CarAdvice. The lower the score, the better. “Tesla placed last in this year’s IQS with a score of 250. This means, on average, 250 problems were reported for every 100 new Teslas — or 2.5 problems each car — within the first 90 days of ownership.” Land Rover and Audi placed just ahead of Tesla, scoring 228 and 225 respectively.
