Adam Chamberlain, VP of Sales at Mercedes-Benz USA since 2016, will officially become the new President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada on April 1, 2020.
Chamberlain was appointed to the position by Nicholas J. Speeks, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz North America, he takes over from Brian D. Fulton, who has been with Mercedes-Benz for 25 years and now plans to pursue other opportunities.
“Adam’s leadership will reinforce our retail and product strategy in Canada and further strengthen collaboration with our dealer partners for sustained growth,” said Speeks. “I would like to thank Brian for his leadership and contributions to our success in the Canadian market, and wish him all the best for the future.”
Chamberlain will take on overall responsibility for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz vans when he officially enters his new role in April. He will be in charge of leading Mercedes-Benz Canada’s 1,200 employees across 14 locations, and a nationwide network of seven Mercedes-Benz retail operations and 52 authorized dealerships.
Prior to his role as VP of Sales, Chamberlain was the sales director for Mercedes-Benz UK, and was responsible for new and used car sales, and fleet sales and distribution. He joined Mercedes-Benz in 2013, and previously worked in the automotive sector for 17 years. He holds an honours degree in International Business and German from Sheffield Hallam University in the U.K.
Chamberlain will maintain his current responsibilities as VP of Sales at MBUSA for now. The company has yet to announce his successor.
