Kelley Blue Book has announced its 2020 Best Buy Awards Winners, with the 2020 Kia Telluride taking home the award for Best New Model.
The awards are provided to the top new model-year vehicles available in the U.S. in 16 major categories. The Best New Model award is relatively new, as it was announced in 2018.
“The Best Buy Awards were designed to help consumers shop confidently by doing the heavy lifting for them,” said Karl Brauer, executive publisher for Kelley Blue Book. “Our experts provide clear, detailed guidance on which specific car, truck, minivan and SUV models shoppers should prioritize and consider for their next new-car purchase.”

- Full-Size SUV: 2020 Ford Expedition
- Minivan: 2020 Honda Odyssey
- Pickup Truck – Midsize: 2020 Chevrolet Colorado
- Electric Car: 2020 Hyundai Kona Electric

The path to selecting the winners includes a review of more than 300 new models available for 2020. Evaluating all the vehicles is done over the span of a year and includes testing of the vehicles. There is a strong focus on selecting vehicles with the best combination of quality, safety, comfort, driving dynamics, dependability, low ownership costs and affordability. An analysis of other vehicle-related data is also included.
