Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. announced it will be the official automotive partner of Rogers Hometown Hockey for the 2019 – 2020 hockey season. The move is in line with the company’s successful Made for those who drive hockey marketing campaign, which ran throughout the 2018-2019 hockey season. This partnership will continue the marketing campaign, as Hyundai Canada acts as a co-presenting sponsor along with Scotiabank for the six-month tour. Rogers will continue as the festival’s title sponsor.
The festival tour will stop in 25 Canadian communities and travel 23,907 kilometers over 25 weeks, a distance that’s the equivalent of crossing Canada from the country’s east to west coast more than four times.
“All Canadian communities, regardless of size, have meaningful and inspirational hockey stories and we want to support them first-hand,” Don Romano, president and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada said in a recent press release. “Over the past few years, we have overhauled our product portfolio with families in mind and we will be sending our entire lineup of crossovers and SUVs across the country for festival visitors to experience.”
The free festival celebrates local hockey stories and features live entertainment, hockey alumni appearances, and hockey-themed activities which will culminate in a live outdoor viewing party of a game broadcast from Sportsnet Mobile Studio.
