Mike Borys has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of AutoCanada, effective August 12, 2019.
“Mike’s proven track record and extensive finance and management experience will be instrumental in assisting us to continue to execute on our go forward plan in Canada and the U.S,” said Paul Antony, Executive Chair of the Company.
Borys is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years of experience as CFO for both public and private companies. Prior to joining AutoCanada, he worked for PTW Energy Services, an electrical and instrumentation provider. Borys was named CFO in 2017.
He was also CFO at several other enterprises: Newalta, an engineered environmental solutions provider, from 2008 to 2016; The Brick Group Income Fund, a furniture retailer, from 2005 to 2008; and movie theatre operator Famous Players, from 2002 to 2005.
Borys also spent a decade working in the restaurant industry, and became CFO of Pepsico division Tricon Canada.
