Automotive industry veteran Randy Parker has been tapped as VP of National Sales at Hyundai Motor America, and will be responsible for all aspects of sales and distribution of its vehicles in the U.S. starting May 30.
In his new role, he will take on sales strategies, fleet and certified pre-owned operations, dealer relations, and market representation among other things, including overseeing the carmaker’s seven sales regions. Parker will report to Brian Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor America.
“Randy has built a career on leading teams, working collaboratively with retailers and implementing sales strategies that deliver profitable growth,” said Smith. “I’m looking forward to Randy joining Hyundai as part of our leadership team, guiding our sales and regional teams and building on the momentum we’ve made so far this year.”
Parker has more than three decades of auto industry experience and leadership roles at both Nissan and General Motors. At Nissan he held the role of division VP, Global Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Sales and Marketing, Nissan Motor Company, and VP of Infiniti North America. He also held the position of regional VP of Nissan USA’s western region.
At GM, he spent nearly 25 years working in various sales, marketing and finance roles.
