LAR appoints Ontario/Atlantic OEM Collision Manager

Leader Auto Resources (LAR), said to be the largest car dealer buying group in North America, has appointed Tony McQuillan as its new OEM Collision Manager.

The group is based in Pointe-Claire, Que., though in his newly created position McQuillan is expected to grow LAR’s collision business in Ontario as well as the Maritimes and Western Canada. He will be working with technicians in those regions while reporting directly to Richard Villeneuve, National Sales & Automotive Refinish at LAR.

“I’m very confident that Tony’s wide range of experiences in the industry will be an excellent addition to our team at LAR, as we strive to continue to grow our collision business throughout North America,” said Robert Issenman, President and CEO, in a company memorandum.

McQuillan is an automotive industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience. He first worked as a Master Technician for Jaguar in Canada and the U.S, and eventually went on to build his own sales and service company geared towards the luxury auto sector in the mid-90s.

Since 2003, McQuillan has also held a number of positions at Mercedes-Benz, including Technician, Fixed Ops Manager and National Collision Manager.
