ADESA, part of KAR Auction Services, has appointed Kurt Madvig as its new vice president of product development.
Madvig has 30 years of automotive remarketing industry experience under his belt. In his new role, he will lead a team geared towards streamlining and enhancing the company’s customer experience. This will be done by focusing on the development, launch and delivery of products, and services and solutions.
“Over the past 18 years at ADESA, Kurt has proven his exceptional skills as a leader and his expansive knowledge of our customer needs,” said Paul Lips, Chief Commercial Officer, ADESA. “Kurt has been instrumental in introducing innovation, integrating technology and streamlining processes at our auctions. Now, as leader of our product development team, Kurt will focus on creating best-in-class service and industry-leading solutions for our customers.”
Madvig joined the company as an auction general manager in 2001 to develop ADESA Long Island. He later achieved double-digit revenue growth at ADESA San Diego, and has served as vice president of auction operations.
There are also three members that will be joining Madvig’s team under his leadership: Eddie Ammar, Senior Director of Protection Products (overseeing ADESA Assurance, among other things); Jason Murdock, Director of Inspection Services (responsible for ensuring thorough inspections); and Senior Project Manager Colleen McCormick-Shankle, who will oversee new product launches and implementations.
