Volvo launches car subscription service for Canadians

Volvo has introduced a vehicle subscription service for Canadian consumers, allowing them to “click, subscribe and drive” a new Volvo with a few taps on their smartphone.

Vehicle subscription services are gaining popularity among automakers as consumer demands for more flexibility from car ownership continues to rise. The new CARE BY VOLVO service answers those customers needs by simplifying the process and allowing them to order a vehicle in less than 10 minutes.

“Traditional models of ownership need to be challenged and that’s exactly what we’re doing with CARE BY VOLVO,” said Alexander Lvovich, Managing Director, Volvo Car Canada Ltd. “The subscription service combines the benefits of tomorrow’s technology with the everyday needs of people today — more time for the things they love, fewer distractions, and a clearly defined and predictable cost. We’re proud to be the first in Canada to offer consumers a different way to own and enjoy a car.”

Volvo’s new offering includes services such as winter tire installation and storage, 24/7 roadside assistance, and a concierge service to help assist subscribers through the ordering process.

The price of a subscription starts at $949 (plus tax) per month.
