The Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) has announced the launch of its “Women in Automotive Mentoring Program,” which was revealed at the 2018 ADIS events in Ottawa and Toronto.
Part of its Career Start Education Program, this new program is designed to connect post-secondary students with leaders in the automotive industry that can help support, provide advice and encourage these women to develop and improve their skills. This in turn is meant to help them pave the way towards a career in an “exciting, vibrant and evolving” industry, according to TADA’s news release.
The information provided by each student who joins the program allows them to be matched with the right mentor. That information is pulled for the student’s application package, and is based on considerations such as location, skills and experience. “TADA will facilitate an initial orientation meeting between the mentor and participant and continue to support both throughout the program,” said the association.
Students from all faculties and programs are eligible to participate.
Details about the program and application can be found here.
