Canadian auto dealer launches Digital Signage survey

Canadian auto dealer has launched a 2018 Digital Signage Survey to better understand what car dealerships across the nation are doing with in-store digital media — and what they feel is important.

Retailers of all stripes are moving from static menus, printed car-toppers and other point-of-purchase materials (POP) to digital screens and interactive kiosks, according to Niel Hiscox, the magazine’s publisher. As a result, a growing number of aftermarket providers are bringing dealers options that can mean a hard choice when it comes to brand compliance, and the investment required in hardware, software, and ongoing monthly licence fees.

“Given all the complexity and wide range of choices, Canadian auto dealer decided it was time to take the pulse of Canada’s dealers,” says Hiscox.

Dealers can access the survey by clicking on the red Digital Signage Survey banner on the website. They will find questions regarding the the different types of applications they would most like to see supported by digital media, what analytics are most important, how critical it is to integrate with OEM offerings, and more.

“It’s a quick survey, and we think the findings will be useful to all of you,” says Hiscox. “If you are already considering investing in screens, video walls and kiosks, our survey results will help make your considerations a bit more informed.”

The results of the survey will be available in the upcoming issue of Canadian auto dealer magazine, and will be shared on the website as well, post-print publication. A draw will also take place, in which respondents will have the chance to win a cinemagraph — an animated image that brings eye-catching motion to your digital advertising.
