CarGurus, an automotive shopping website, has announced the winners of its annual Top Rated Dealers list, which recognizes Canadian dealerships with the highest average shopper ratings published on the CarGurus platform.
“CarGurus users have an expectation of transparency and the ability to get a great deal from a top-rated dealer,” said Sam Zales, COO at CarGurus. “The Top Rated Dealer Awards celebrate the best dealers in Canada who deliver on the promise of a trustworthy and customer-satisfactory car shopping process.”
The number of winners this year more than doubled compared to the 2017 program, which aims to provide dealers with the chance to promote the “independent validation of their excellence” in customer service, according to CarGurus.
According to the shopping site, dealer reputation ratings, together with CarGurus Instant Market Value (IMV), are used to rate the quality of a deal based on four options: Great, Good, Fair, High Price or Overpriced. The information is then used to rank a user’s search results accordingly, allowing the best deals to surfaced first for organic search results.
