Manheim Moncton auction opens for business

More than 200 guests attended the grand opening of Cox Automotive Canada’s new Manheim Moncton auction on March 22. Moncton mayor Dawn Arnold and Jack Sulymka, Director, Commercial Accounts and Operations for Manheim Canada performed the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Following the opening ceremonies, Mark Chatfield, General Manager, Manheim Halifax, served as lead auctioneer, while Steve Lipjay, President and Head Auctioneer at Moncton’s The Great Northern Auction (TGNA) joined him in an adjacent lane. Manheim’s partnership in the venture with TGNA was announced last month.

Auctions are scheduled to run every Wednesday at 3:00 AST and vehicles will be broadcast live on simulcast. Vehicle condition reports, and a grading and vehicle history report will be available at Manheim.ca.

Chatfield, whose team will support Manheim Moncton, said that dealer attendance, participation and feedback for the event were all positive.

“Ultimately, we’re just really thrilled to have partnered with TGNA, a company that envelops the same core values and family backdrop that makes up Cox Automotive,” Chatfield said.

The new facility joins Manheim auctions across Canada, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.
