Dave Habiger will be taking the reins of J.D. Power as the company’s new President and CEO. The news follows last year’s announcement that Finbarr O’Neill, the company’s longtime President and CEO., was retiring.
“J.D. Power is fortunate to have a leader and operator of Dave’s caliber to execute on this next phase of transition and growth,” said O’Neill. “I would like to thank employees for their commitment and dedication to driving our business forward, and remain highly confident in the future growth trajectory of the company with Dave at the helm.”
Habiger enters the position effective immediately and will oversee the company’s global strategic direction and business strategy, which includes the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. He is also expected to lead the development of J.D. Power’s “short-and long-term business strategy and execution” to advance the digitization of the business and move the company’s social and corporate mission forward.
“As a technologist fascinated with data and analytics, I have long admired J.D. Power’s unrivaled consumer focus and advisory services,” said Habiger. “Now, as the company reaches key inflection points, I look forward to working with J.D. Power’s strong management team while bringing my prior experience to further maximize the potential of its digital strategy and push into the consumer market.”
Habiger previously worked in a variety of positions, including Director and CEO of Textura, a global construction management software and payments company. He has also served as Chairman of a governmental Electric Vehicle Commission to help design infrastructure for EV charging stations, and remains a long-standing member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, according to the news release.
