Mercedes offers new way to interact with the brand

German automaker Mercedes-Benz opened a retail store in Ontario designed to provide consumers with a new way of interacting and experiencing the brand.

The Mercedes me Store Markham, located in the CF Markville shopping mall, offers products from the Mercedes-Benz Collection — including items like jackets, watches and accessories, among other things. The company will also display some of the newest vehicles in the lineup.

“People may be surprised to see Mercedes-Benz in a shopping centre alongside more traditional retailers,” said Philipp von Witzendorff, Vice President & Head of Toronto Retail Operations, Mercedes-Benz Canada. “This is an exciting new opportunity for us to engage with people in new and unexpected ways.”

The store is meant to be an informal stop-by for shoppers, providing them with the opportunity to browse items, look at the carmaker’s latest models and ask questions.

The company says it wants to evolve their offering to meet potential customers “where they are and fit within their lifestyle.”

In addition to providing non-vehicle related products, the store will operate as a satellite location for the nearby Mercedes-Benz Markham dealership.
