One of Canada’s largest dealership groups recently announced that it has entered into a purchase agreement with a dealership that has serviced the greater Montreal area for almost 50 years.
AutoCanada announced on April 11 that it has committed to purchasing all of the issued and outstanding shares of the Mercedes-Benz Rive-Sud dealership, according to a news release.
With the acquisition of Mercedes-Benz Rive-Sud, AutoCanada’s dealership count is now at 57, and its brand offering at 20.
“The acquisition is consistent with AutoCanada’s strategy of adding new brands in metropolitan areas to further expand our dealer network and drive growth potential across major Canadian markets,” said AutoCanada in the release.
As part of the agreement, AutoCanada will lease the dealership lands, including a 112,643 square foot facility, 50 car showroom, and 28 service bays which house one of three Mercedes-Benz approved collision centres in Que., said the release. In 2016 the Dealership retailed 1,270 new and used vehicles.
