David Frum, a regular fixture on U.S. cable television, and one of America’s most influential social and political commentators, will deliver a keynote address at the 5th annual CADA Summit.
A political insider, Frum served as a speech-writer and special assistant for former president George W. Bush and is a Senior Editor at the Atlantic and a regular CNN contributor.
A Canadian-American, and a Republican, Frum was among those who crossed ranks and voted for Hillary Clinton, and has been a vocal critic of Trump and what the his presidency may hold. You can read some of his thoughts on Trump in his article: “The Conservative Case for Voting for Clinton.”
His outspoken position on Trump has also earned headlines in other media who cover U.S. politics: David Frum Predicts the Dark Course of Trump’s Impending Authoritarianism.
The Wall Street Journal has called him one of the leading political commentators of his generation and he has been called one of the top 100 public intellectuals in America.
Frum has also been a long-time advocate for shaking up the polarized U.S. political system, and doesn’t pull any punches in his articles or speeches. “Audiences appreciate his thought-provoking style and ability to boil complex subjects into digestible bites. David captivates audiences as a speaker, but isn’t afraid to interject humour,” according to the bio on his speaker profile page.
Frum joins a jam-packed line up of speakers and panel members at this year’s CADA Summit who will be examining the impact of social, political and economic trends on the automotive retail industry. The event’s theme: “Change isn’t coming — change is now” speaks to the urgency with which dealers need to be aware of the forces of change.
The CADA Summit is backed by an exclusive sponsorship from TD Auto Finance.
