At this year’s Montreal International Auto Show Charity Preview, which took place on January 17th, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, a total of $620,766 was raised in support of five worthy causes within Greater Montreal’s medical community: Fondation du CHUM, Montréal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation, Centre Foundation, Pierre-Boucher Hospital Foundation, Santa Cabrini Foundation and St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.
Since the Charity Preview event first began back in 2005, it has raised more than $3.4 million for hospital foundations in the Greater Montreal Area health care community. For the 9th consecutive year, the auto industry is proud to offer its support to these five foundations, all of whom are working towards a common goal of improving human health.
Following in the footsteps of past years, the 2013 Charity Preview, hosted by actor Rémi-Pierre Paquin, proved to be a sell-out success, with a record 4,126 attendees. Since the Charity Preview takes place before the actual official opening of the show, attendees were also able to feast their eyes on some of the latest automotive hardware before the first public day on January 18th.
Canadian auto dealer attended the Charity Preview, which proved to be a relaxed affair with plenty of mingling, gourmet food, fine wines and well known personalities, both within the auto industry and also Quebec’s sports and arts communities. The Silent Auction proved to be very popular this year and raised $17,000 in total.
Jacques Tardif, president of the 2013 Montreal International Auto Show, was pleased with the record attendance and thanked those at the Charity Preview for their generous donations. “For the 9th consecutive year, we are very proud to be able to support five foundations whose hard work and dedication remain essential to the health and well-being of everyone within the Greater Montreal Area,” Tardif remarked.
