Kia dealers and Whitecaps join forces for KidSafe

On June 10, Kia dealers in the Greater Vancouver area will join forces with Whitecaps FC (Football Club), for a KidSafe Day at B.C. Place during the club’s game against the Houston Dynamo. The objective is to raise money in order to provide a safe environment for some of Vancouver’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children.

Additionally, the Blue Planet Links Foundation; will contribute to the project, by matching, dollar for dollar, all funds raised to support the program, up to an amount of $25,000.

In response to the announcement, Gehard Maynard, Executive Director of KidSafe, remarked that, “we are very proud to be working alongside Kia Canada and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in providing over 400 vulnerable children and families in our community with meals and programming this summer. We are very excited that the Blue Planet Links Foundation has agreed to match ever dollar on the day [of the match] up to $25,000. Kia and the Vancouver Whitecaps are truly driving change and for that we are truly grateful.”
