Carfluent has added a French language option to its dealership website platform, expanding access for French-speaking consumers in Canada and the United States.
The new capability follows the company’s earlier rollout of Spanish-translated websites and is part of its ongoing effort to support multilingual communication between dealerships and customers. The addition is expected to benefit retailers operating in markets with large French-speaking populations, including Quebec and parts of the northeastern United States.
“As Carfluent has grown, we have overwhelmingly heard from our dealer customers in the U.S. and Canada that they want more language options,” said Chance Mayfield, CEO of Carfluent, in a statement. “This is a win-win for dealers and their customers.”
Mayfield said dealerships can broaden their customer base, while French speakers enjoy the same buying experience as English speakers. “Opening the lines of communication builds trust and loyalty for the dealership.”
The company said its translation platform is designed for the automotive sector, using artificial intelligence to identify and apply industry-specific language. Unlike general translation programs, the tool is built to recognize terminology used by manufacturers and dealers, aiming to maintain accuracy in vehicle descriptions and pricing information.
Carfluent’s French-language feature is integrated into its existing system and can be implemented by current or new users without major technical adjustments. The company said dealerships using its translation services have reported measurable increases in engagement from multilingual audiences and specifically a bump of 30-40 per cent in sales.
