Reynolds and Reynolds has officially released its new parts delivery robot called Relo, designed to create efficiencies and improve safety for service departments.
After months of development the company said its new technology is finally being brought to market. The tech is designed to keep technicians in their bays instead of walking back and forth to the parts department to retrieve needed items. It can autonomously (robotically) move its parts, and it incorporates a seamless integration within the DMS, to help save time and promote a smoother shop workflow.
“We’re extremely excited to be bringing Relo to Dallas for Reynolds Retail Summit: Amplify 2025,” said Chris Walsh, President and acting CEO of Reynolds, in a statement. “Attendees at the event will have a first-hand look at the robot, see its functionality, and hear our expert staff talk about Relo and its capabilities so they can visualize the impact it can have in their service department.”
The robot is part of the Reynolds Retail Management System and includes programmed autonomous routes that allow it to know where it needs to take parts once it’s engaged. When moving around, its lidar technology senses obstacles, allowing the robot to navigate around any obstructions.
“Reynolds is always looking for ways we can enhance efficiencies and help improve outcomes for dealerships,” said Walsh. “Relo is a prime example of our constant push toward the future and focus on innovation that drives the industry forward.”
Walsh will make another major announcement at the company’s Amplify event related to artificial intelligence. More information about the summit can be found here.
