Andrew Ojamae, President and CEO of the AutoIQ Dealership Network, has been named one of this year’s recipients of the Georgian College Board of Governors’ Awards of Distinction (Community Partner Award).
The purpose of the award is to recognize noteworthy partners, either individuals or groups in the community or industry who have made a significant contribution to Georgian College around supporting its priorities, and also in a way that reflects its values.
A congratulatory letter praised Ojamae’s efforts, saying “It’s been an extraordinary year and, despite the challenges, you’ve truly gone above and beyond demonstrating an incredible commitment to the college and our students.”
The letter also noted how AutoIQ has continued to support the Automotive Business School of Canada (ABSC) on all levels, and has created specific programs (such as co-op) for ABSC students.
“AutoIQ has also inspired innovation with the recent launch of the AutoIQ Leadership Academy-ABSC Portal,” said the letter. “This initiative is one of a kind and has created a portal for ABSC/Georgian college students for Co-op/ Grad opportunities, mentorship, part-time positions and continued involvement with ABSC.”
The letter was signed by Paul Larche, Chair of the Georgian College Board of Governors, and President and CEO Dr. MaryLynn West-Moynes.
