Biden signs executive orders aimed at reducing emissions

After re-entering the Paris climate accord in January, U.S. President Joe Biden signed an executive order to suspend new oil and natural gas leases on public lands and waters to prioritize climate change and reduce carbon emissions. The move was part of a series of actions, including the cancelation of the Keystone XL pipeline, aimed at establishing stricter targets under the Paris accord.
