Fiat-Chrysler (FCA) offices were searched in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland last week as German authorities continue to investigate the role of the company’s employees into software that may have been used to defeat emissions detection devices. Prosecutors believe the engine management software in question was used in the 1.3 litre and 1.6 litre Multijet engines used in some models of Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Jeep engines, as well as diesel engines used in some Fiat commercial vehicles.
