Montreal Auto Show VIP night mixes first looks and fundraising

The Montreal Auto Show’s Charity Preview Gala positioned its VIP night as both a first look at the 2026 show floor and a major fundraiser for Montreal-area hospital foundations.

The black-tie evening ran from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on January 15, with a ceremony at 7:30 p.m., and included VIP access to the 2026 edition of the Montreal Auto Show at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

The event included culinary stations and bar service, plus a lounge experience, live performances and on-site activities. Guests were also able to partake in a grand raffle and silent auction, and could receive a gift bag that included a copy of the 2026 Auto Guide. The event was 18-plus and tickets were non-refundable, according to organizers.

The gala is tied to the mission of the MADC Foundation, which supports non-profit organizations and focuses on health and people facing hardship in the Montreal Automobile Dealers territory. Organizers said the event raised just over $11.2 million for hospital foundations in the Greater Montreal area since its first edition in 2005.

While Montreal’s Charity Preview Gala is a key date on the Quebec calendar, VIP nights are becoming a broader industry playbook. The Canadian International AutoShow’s “VIP Night” is scheduled for Feb. 12, 2026, and is described as a hospitality- and entertainment-driven evening for exhibitors, sponsors, partners and MVRO-affiliated dealerships in good standing.
