CarGurus has announced the winners of its annual Top Dealer Awards in Canada for 2024. The company introduced a new award category for Top Value Dealer to complement the existing Top Rated Dealer Award.
Both awards highlight dealerships in the country that excel in providing exceptional service and value and are based on reviews and data collected in 2023. In an email response to Canadian auto dealer, CarGurus said the full list of winners spans more than 400 dealers, making it difficult for users to review. Instead, they encourage dealers to highlight their wins to their local markets.
The company also recently presented its 10th annual Top Dealer Awards for the United States, meant to recognize dealerships that provide consumers with exceptional service, guidance, and support.
This year they introduced two new categories that aim to showcase dealer commitment to customer satisfaction in the present digital age. Overall, the three award categories are: Top-Rated Dealer, Top Value Dealer (new), and Top Digital Dealer (new).
“It has been an honour over the past decade to celebrate the dealers that, like CarGurus, prioritize consumer trust, transparency, and ease in the car buying and selling journey,” said Sam Zales, CarGurus President and Chief Operating Officer, in a statement.
The Top-Rated Dealer is for dealerships that received a rating of at least 4.5 out of 5 in 2023, plus a minimum of five new reviews for dealers in the U.S. and four in Canada and the United Kingdom. The Top Value Dealer is for the top 100 dealerships in each region with the highest percentage of inventory that was rated as a “Good” or “Great” deal in 2023. And the Top Digital Dealer is for dealerships in the U.S. who are leading the charge in digital retail.
Top Dealers are notified of their award and receive tools to promote their recognition in-store and online.
