Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada is upgrading the visual identity of its dealerships across the nation with “new-look” stores. The first such dealership officially launched in Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., on April 9, 2019.
In its news release, the company said 64 per cent of Canadian Mitsubishi Motors dealers have agreed to adopt the company’s new global dealer visual identity program, initially revealed in July 2018. It’s expected to have an impact on the brand’s retail consumer experience.
“The response by Canadian dealers to the global visual identity program has been overwhelming,” said Juyu Jeon, president and CEO, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada. “The pace of change for a new retail image will be quick and complement the exciting new products we have in store.”
Saint-Hyacinthe Mitsubishi is one of the first Mitsubishi Motors stores in Quebec, having been established in 2005, and is among the main Outlander PHEV dealers in the country. The store remained open while the new one was being built, and was demolished afterwards.
The dealership now stands at 11,000 sq. ft., with a drive-thru service area and 10 electric charging stations, It also increased its staff to 20 employees.
“I started this business with blood, sweat and tears even selling my car to buy my first used car dealership,” said Dominic Fortin, Dealer Principal, Saint-Hyacinthe Mitsubishi. “To open this vibrant new Mitsubishi dealership that looks to every detail to make the customer experience better is rewarding.”
Other grand openings of “new-look” dealerships are coming within the next few months, namely by Ajax Mitsubishi in Ontario, Steele Mitsubishi in Nova Scotia, and Charlottetown Mitsubishi in P.E.I. The plan is to eventually launch the new dealer image in 5,000 dealerships globally.
