The Honda Canada Foundation has donated $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the BC Fires Appeal. It will be used during relief and recovery efforts in areas affected by devastating wildfires in the province.
The donation will help provide immediate relief such as cots, blankets, family reunification and financial assistance. It will also help with re-entry, and provide long term recovery, resiliency and preparedness, according to the company.
“Honda encourages all Canadians to donate to the Canadian Red Cross at this time to assist the most vulnerable citizens affected by this severe situation,” said Dave Jamieson, chairman of the Honda Canada Foundation.
This latest donation marks Honda’s third contribution — a total of $300,000— to the relief agency in the past 14 months.
