Lifts mades easy – Rotary Lift TRIO Arms
Technicians who use Rotary Lift’s SmartLift inground lift will now have an easier time working on cars, trucks and vans. The company announced its patented TRIO Arms are now standard on its medium-duty SL212 12,000 lb. SmartLift inground lift.
TRIO Arms, which have been standard on the 10,000 lb. capacity SmartLift inground lifts, since 2011, provide an 18 per cent wider reach than standard arms, said the company. They also have a unique sliding adapter system that enables technicians to more quickly and precisely spot a vehicle, the company added.
“We want to get technicians off the ground and working faster, and TRIO Arms are all about productivity. Technicians can simply slide the lightweight adapter to the desired position, without getting on their hands and knees to reach under the vehicle,” said Jim Dirksen, Vice-president, light duty sales for Rotary Lift, in a written release.

Stay on point – Globaljig GlobalScan computerized measuring system
The new Globaljig Presented by Chief GlobalScan computerized measuring system made its North American debut at the SEMA Show 2016.
The system measures multiple points on the vehicle simultaneously in real time so that technicians can monitor the effects of a pull on the entire vehicle, said the company. GlobalScan also documents every step of the repair process.
“Live, multi-point monitoring is especially important today because modern vehicle design is transferring collision energy through the vehicle’s frame and body to protect the occupant compartment,” said Lee Daugherty, Chief global data product manager, in a written release.
The measuring system includes a computer loaded with software, mouse, 19-inch monitor, colour document printer, 32 targets and a wide range of attachments housed in a portable cabinet, said the company.
