Hyundai Val-Belair in Quebec and River City Hyundai in Alberta have partnered up with Google Maps to showcase a virtual tour of the showroom, inside Hyundai vehicles and service centres.
This is part of the Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) launch Hyundai said it is rolling out, to further present the new design of sleeker and sophisticated dealerships.
“Bringing that 360-degree, Street View of Google Maps to two of our newest dealerships is a natural extension of what our customers are already looking for online and further accelerates the convergence of the online and bricks-and-mortar world,” said Lawrence Hamilton, Director of Marketing at Hyundai Auto Canada Corp, in a written release.
Vehicle buyers online are able to view the dealerships on their tablets, laptops and mobile phones, said Hyundai. The goal is to provide viewers with a virtual presence of being in a physical dealership environment.
“We decided to start this project with our newest GDSI dealerships as one of the motivating factors behind the new design for Hyundai facilities is to elevate the perception of our brand. Extending those physical facilities into the virtual world will enable more people to experience the design and better understand what it means to be a Hyundai customer,” said Hamilton.
The same equipment and team that works with Google Maps are working in collaboration with Hyundai to create the perfect Street View experience.
Some of the vehicles that can be expected to be showcased are the Elantra compact car, Genesis Coupe sports car and the Tucson compact SUV.
