Rick Gauthier has announced he will be stepping down as the President & CEO of the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), effective July 2016.
“I’m extremely grateful to the members of my executive committee and to the board members who have really supported me over the last 20 years. I’m also really appreciative of the dealers of Canada,” Gauthier told Canadian auto dealer in an exclusive interview.
“I’m feeling fulfilled in every way, both personally and professionally,” said Gauthier, and added he has “no regrets.”
Gauthier said he is ready to pass the torch to someone else who can lead the organization into its next chapter.
A core group of the CADA executive committee will begin a process to find Gauthier’s replacement within the next few days.
Gauthier added he will work closely alongside his replacement in the coming months to help ease the transition, to ensure the CADA continues to meet its objectives and obligations.
