Black Women Talk Tech (BWTT)’s Roadmap to Billions conference, which is presented by Accelerate Auto, will take place in Toronto, Ontario, from October 5-6, 2025.
This is the second annual Canadian edition of the conference, which is built by Black women founders and is for Black women founders and their allies. It is a two-day event that features a welcome reception and a full day of panels, keynotes, a Mentor Marketplace, and a Pitch Competition. Speakers include Yolanda Biswah, President of Canadian Black Book; and Faithlyn Hemmings, Vice President & Lead Counsel for Canada, General Motors.
“This isn’t just a conference — it’s a movement,” said Regina Gwynn, Co-Founder of Black Women Talk Tech, in a statement. “We’re excited to return to Toronto with even more momentum, deeper partnerships, and new opportunities for Black women founders to access capital, mentorship, and community. With Accelerate Auto as our presenting sponsor, we’re accelerating our mission to ensure Black women are at the forefront of tech innovation in Canada and beyond.”
The event includes collaborations with Nobellum and PitchBetter as community partners, and a new partnership with Black Ambition. It’s sponsored by a range of companies, from the Black Founders Network to TD Bank, Air Canada, and Talk Tech Association. This second conference is also meant to underline a continued commitment to uplifting Black women founders in tech through programming, partnerships, and community engagement.
“As the automotive and technology sectors continue to converge, it is critical that Black women are deliberately engaged in these conversations and opportunities,” said Shannon Miller, Executive Director of Accelerate Auto, in a statement.
