After seeing solid growth in Quebec, the collision and repair services CarrXpert is now expanding operations to the rest of Canada.
CarrXpert operates the largest network of collision repair centres in Quebec. It was established in 2001 by Quebec’s auto dealer association, the Corporation des concessionnaires automobiles du Québec (CCAQ).
The company’s business model helps the province’s car dealers provide repair and post-collision services under the CarrXpert banner, while helping streamline operations and coordinating interactions with insurance providers.
CarrXpert certification means that a collision repair facility has met stringent standards established by CarrXpert and by manufacturers. Certification recognizes that a facility is considered equipped to perform high-quality, safe and OEM-compliant repairs on vehicles.
“CarrXpert’s vision is clear. In Quebec, we want all body shops to be certified by 2028. Things are going well, so why not extend this expertise to all of Canada? That’s what’s currently happening,” said Jean-François Gargya, General Manager of CarrXpert, in an interview with Affaires automobiles, the sister publication of Canadian auto dealer.
The company already is operating in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, with 40 CarrXpert shops operating there. The company is now looking to expand to Ontario and B.C.
“The idea behind CarrXpert across Canada is to build a strong image and represent dealerships’ interests in customer retention,” said Gargya. “We want to ensure quality and high repair standards across the country. We’d like to have a strong network over the next five to ten years.”
Gargya said CarrXpert certification is also recognized by major insurance carriers like Aviva, Promutuel, Alpha, Beneva and others.
