Toyota is among the 10 most respected brands in Canada, according to a 2025 Leger Reputation Study.
Now in its 28th year, the annual study is considered a benchmark for measuring corporate reputation and monitoring changes over time, within the country. This year’s report had Leger survey more than 38,000 Canadians to gain their perspectives on 326 companies across 30 different sectors.
“Toyota’s consistent performance in our Reputation Study highlights how much Canadians value core pillars of reputation — including honesty and transparency, quality, and social responsibility,” said Lisa Covens, Senior Vice President at Leger, in a statement.
The OEM was also recognized as the number one most reputable automotive brand in Canada for eight years running, and is fourth overall on Leger’s “Employer Score” ranking. Covens described Toyota’s eight-year consecutive recognition as a testament to the OEM’s ability to connect with Canadians “in meaningful ways and to continuously meet their evolving expectations.”
“Being ranked at the top of the automotive industry for eight straight years is something we don’t take for granted, and we plan to continue earning the trust of Canadians by staying focused on our customer experience, delivering high value, quality products, and being a socially responsible corporate citizen,” said Cyril Dimitris, President and CEO at Toyota Canada, in a statement.
The other top brands in Canada are Costco Wholesale, Sony, Samsung, Google, Canadian Tire, Youtube, Interac, Dollarama and The Home Depot. Further information about the study is available here.
