Evo Car Share celebrates a decade in B.C.

Evo Car Share celebrated its 10th anniversary this month, marking its decade-long presence in British Columbia when it started with just 250 hybrids in 2015. It now has 2,500 vehicles in its fleet.

In a news release, the company said it has grown to almost a quarter million members, has expanded to nine cities, and launched new features and services — such as Evo for Business in 2021, Evo Return Roundtrip Car Share in 2022, and Evo Loyalty Points Program in 2024.

“Our goal was to give people in B.C. a better way to get around, even if they didn’t own a car,” said Amitis Khorsandi, Vice President of Evo Car Share, in a statement. “Since launching a decade ago, we’ve grown our hybrid and electric fleet, and massively expanded the communities and members we serve.”

Khorsandi added that Evo is part of so many people’s everyday lives. He said it was built for the B.C. lifestyle, so they can travel up to the mountain, and visit new parts of town and connecting communities. “We’re proud to be local and committed to be there for everything from quick grocery runs to multi-day road trips, and big life events,” said Khorsandi.

Consumers received unlimited free 10-minute trips on March 24 as part of Evo’s celebration of its decade-long run in B.C.
