New dates for Georgian College Auto Show

The students at Georgian College changed the date for their annual auto show. Usually held in the fall, the show will be held from June 3-5 in 2011. “We hope to take advantage of warmer weather. This move will allow us to make better use of space on college property,” says Stephanie Titus, Director, Media Relations for the 2011 Auto Show Committee.

Organizers bill the show as the “largest outdoor, student run auto show in North America” and they say it attracts more than 20,000 visitors every year. The show is organized by the students attending Georgian’s CAI at the Barrie Campus.

The show has something for everyone – from the classic car fan, to the high-powered sports car enthusiast, to the couple looking for the perfect new family vehicle.

“Our theme this year is Change, Adapt, Imagine and we are looking forward to the new season for our show, adapting to the change, and imagining the possibilities it will present for us,” said Titus.

The show opens Friday, June 3 with new extended hours from 12 to 8 p.m. Daily admission is $7 for adults and free for kids 12 and younger. Parking is included with admission.
