TRADER and Dealertrack partner to streamline the purchase process

A partnership between TRADER and Dealertrack will benefit vehicle buyers and sellers by providing a more efficient vehicle purchase process, the partners say. Available April 1, the new platform will bring in-store experiences online, allowing dealers to engage with consumers earlier and at various stages in the purchase process.

The ability to embed Dealertrack digital retailing tools into TRADER website solutions across Canada will bring deeper integration into the full website and advertising platforms, the partners say. Car buyers will be able to go online to personalize payments, appraise vehicle trade-in, apply for finance and select various F&I products.

“Today’s connected car buyer expects an accelerated shopping experience that is efficient, transparent and seamless,” says Edwin Ulak, vice president of product at TRADER. “They want to save time at the dealership, and they want to take control and design their own shopping experience — across every aspect of the deal.”

By educating and empowering consumers before they visit the dealership, the platform is designed to make the face-to-face sales experience more efficient for everyone.

“The new digital shopping experience that has been evident in other retail industries is becoming the expectation for consumers in automotive retailing,” says Richard Evans, vice president and general manager at Dealertrack Canada. “We are excited by this partnership that will benefit both consumers and automotive retailers, providing a more efficient process for vehicle purchases in Canada.”
