The eighth annual TalkAUTO Canada conference is right around the corner, and is expected to explore a theme that has taken on a more prominent role in the automotive industry: open source ownership.
The question of “who owns what” in the age of subscription services, connectivity, artificial intelligence, and Big Data will be considered when representatives of automotive manufacturers, dealers, financial providers, aftermarket suppliers and more gather at the event on November 6 at the Universal EventSpace in Vaughan, Ont.
This edition of TalkAUTO will include keynote speakers Tim Reuss, President and CEO of CADA and former President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, who will explore the topic: If Data is the new gold, are you treating it that way?
Sam Sebastian, President and CEO of Pelmorex Corp. will dive into the topic of: A digital and data/AI transformation has only a little to do with technology and everything to do with culture and the customer.
The conference will begin with introductions from Brad Rome, President of Canadian Black Book before launching into speaker sessions with:
- Jeff Schuster, President, Americas Operations and Global Vehicle Forecasts, LMC Automotive (Outlook for Canadian Automotive Market);
- Kristin Kolodge, Executive Director, Driver Interaction and HMI, J.D. Power (Technology Hype vs. Reality);
- Brian Murphy, Vice President of Research and Analytics at Canadian Black Book (Canadian Black Book Market Briefing); and
